Excellent Networking

F
This organization is run very smoothly, is truly international, and is excellent at fostering exchange of information and expertise.
N
WAVE unites NGOs working on violence against women, and more specifically intimate partner violence, all over Europe. This enables the organization to analyze these issues from a unique European perspective (not limited to EU borders for example). The organization makes women's voices heard, provides local and regional NGOs with valuable tools, strengthens the exchange and sharing of good practices in the sector and is a political force to reckon with in the field of violence against women.
O
This is a very important European network of organizations working to end intimate partner (and other types of male) violence which has achieved a lot with very limited resources.

Legal Support

R
Around the world, the International Rescue Committee helps survivors heal and works with communities and institutions to break the cycle of violence.

Increase Funding

O
It could improve in the field of advocacy and awareness raising/communication, if it had access to more resources. European advocacy is desperately needed (especially now, as the 2014 to 2020 budget of the EU is being negotiated and it has been proposed to eliminate earmarking of funding for ending violence against women!), but it is very difficult to find means of funding that work. The same goes for the Rape Crisis Network Europe, which has even more limited funding (I am not even sure it still has any funding at the moment)...

Increase Tangible Impact

R
WAVE is lacking funding and their projects are more virtual than practical.
